Taking care of our loved ones between the time
of death and burial is an ancient tradition. Over the past 100
years, this once family-directed tradition has gradually been
lost.
With the loss of this tradition, the bereaved, often in great
emotional pain and confusion, feel helpless and afraid of the
process they know nothing about. Therefore, it has now become
the norm to hand our loved ones over to those "in the business" at
this most significant time in the circle of life.
By bringing the funeral back into the home, we are allowed a
final period of intimacy; an opportunity to connect deeply with
our feelings; and a chance to be with loving friends and family
members within the sacred walls of our own home. |
